Daulatpur village is a very important sightseeing place of Bangra East Union. National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's memorial is Daulatpur village of Bangra East Union of Muradnagar Upazila of Comilla. In 1921, the poet came to that village with his friend Ali Akbar Khan. He stayed here for 2 months and 11 days. In this village he got married to Ali Akbar's sister's daughter Nargis Begum.
Bangra gas field is also located in this union.
